Consultation
The first part of
your visit to our office begins with a thorough
history to identify the nature of your
presenting problem. The Doctor will ask
detailed question regarding your past and
present health in order to determine how we can
best proceed in assessing your condition.
Examination
A thorough
physical examination is conducted including
vital signs, orthopedic and neurological
screening, evaluations along with a complete
Chiropractic, biochemical and postural
examination.
X-Ray
Examination
When x-rays are
necessary they are taken in our office.
Both weight bearing and non-weight bearing views
are compared. Motion stress views are
often utilized to determine full or restricted
joint mobility.
Report
of Findings
The patient is
presented with a report of findings which
combines the results of the history,
consultation, examination and x-rays. The
objective of the report is to answer 4 basic
questions.
- What is the
problem?
- Can we help?
- How long will
it take?
- How much will
it cost?
Acute
Care
In this stage of
treatment the primary goal is pain and symptom
relief. Our focus is to stabilize the
spine, decrease nerve pinch and irritation while
reducing the muscle spasm and inflammatory
reactions that trigger the pain and other
presenting symptoms.
Corrective
Care
This stage of
treatment is designed to correct the underlying
cause of the problem, which was signaled by your
pain and dysfunction, through rehabilitation of
your spine, ligaments and muscles. This
is a critical portion of your care plan.
Correction of the structural problem permits the
body to recover more fully, (not just covering
up the symptoms) and provides for less pain and
dysfunction in the future.
Maintenance
Care
The most
important stage of care is often the most over
looked. Routine spinal evaluations and
adjustments help maintain the correction,
allowing your healthy spine to assist the body
to prevent disease naturally.
Wellness
& Prevention
Wellness care
focuses more on the prevention of disease rather
than trying to restore good health after you
loose it. Patients are encouraged to bring
in their family and friends for evaluation to
help them begin the process of prevention before
the disease appears.

treatment in Chiropractic is the spinal
